“ Trouble “
Two Confused People
Stuck At A Red Light
Both Trying To Do Something
Neither of Them Right
Angry young Men
Their faces painted with Pain
Suffering Thru Another Day
Of Life All The Same
There’s A Young Father with His Children
So young and Full of Life
One Job, Two Children
And an unfaithful young wife
There’s a Cop on the Street
With a Gun in His Hand
There’s a Scared Desperate Junkie
Ready To Make His Las Stand
There’s the Gangsters with Bandanas
Colored either Red or Blue
You Drive Down the Street
Praying they won’t Look at You.
There’s the Single Mother
Trying To Do Both Jobs
Trying to Raise Rebellious Children
Against All The Odds
There’s the Old with their worries
There’s the Young with their Dare
Neither of Them Certain
If it Matters to Care
There’s the Elderly and Aged
Without a Thought in their grasp
There’s the Loved ones who Care
But Wonder How Long Can This Last
You Hear of Epidemic AIDS
In this Country Reported
But It’s so Hard To Tell
Because All the Facts get Distorted
Everyone Deals with
Trouble and Strife
You Ask About Trouble
Trouble is Life
