Silent Prayers

I’m sitting here thinking of you

Wishing this nightmare weren’t true.

Wishing the blood wasn’t all over your face

Even at times that I would’ve taken your place

Your memory haunts me more than you’d believe

Forgiveness from myself is what I need to receive.

The days are short and the nights are long

In forgotten realms is where these memories belong.

But that night is one I’ll never forget

Living with memories of an act I’ll always regret

I pray for the pain to go away

God answers, “be patient  my child it will one day be  quiet and still there’s a plan I have for you , forgotten words spoken will soon ring true, Remember each trial as a lesson learned, Each hardship another testimony earned. Remember my child when needed I’ll carry you through this lonely forest of life you’re stumbling through. Just close your eyes and give it to me. I’ll carry your burdens and set you free, just please go forward, tell others of my son, the life altering miracles through him I have done. Tell them of the wonders and gifts from above, and how they’re free when you accept my son’s precious love. There’s no greater gift that I can give, just the eternal bliss in which you can live. Just remember my words from long ago the last stanza, this is how it goes. We’ll sit by the river; we’ll eat from the tree. When we go to Heaven, my daddy and me.

Just be patient my child give me your hand.  Soon enough you’ll understand. People will say from the devil you came, but you will be called by my Holy Name. A child of God for the world to see, just give me your life live it for me. Your pain child, will change someone’s life

So don’t think it’s just wasted strife. So live your story let the price be paid, tell it, someone will learn from the mistakes you’ve made

Give the glory of victory to me, when the final chapters written in

Heavens where you’ll be. You will walk on streets of gold, your daddy will tell you stories of old. So be patient my child, Ill set you free

and in Heaven is where you’ll spend  eternity”.

So I close my eyes and bow my head

and I thank my Lord for encouraging words said. I’ll live a story that someday I’ll tell

and pray I’ll keep someone from an eternity in hell.
